MP Hotels Showcases Growth and New Projects at ITB

2018 was quite the year for MP Hotels. New markets, brands and hotels were just some of many success stories of the Munich-based group. However, 2019 is already looking up for the ambitious hotel company, which has already showcased a new brand, and is looking to globalize Alaçati, one of Turkey’s most exciting destinations.

Munich  – MP Hotels made its presence felt at ITB 2019,  the world leading travel trade show, in Berlin. The rapidly growing hotel company continues to add  properties to its worldwide portfolio, as well as new brands. The FTI  Group owned company consolidated its presence in many markets , but also expanded with vigor into fresh ones over the course of 2018.

“This past year was very successful for MP Hotels,” said Roula Jouny, CEO of MP Hotels and Chief Content Officer of FTI Group. “We were able to strengthen our position in familiar markets, but also venture with confidence into several others.”

Cuba, Croatia and Oman were new markets for MP  Hotels, while Turkey and Spain were amongst those that saw  further consolidation with new hotel additions. Some of the new properties were also debuts of exciting new brands that were developed over the course of 2018 by MP Hotels.

“This past year was also a significant one for our global brand strategy,” said Jouny. “We re-organized our LABRANDA Hotels & Resorts brand, but also developed 3 new ones. In an attempt to better harness the diverse hotel market.”

In 2018, MP Hotels carried out  full rebranding and brand development process in an effort to become a true house of brands. It maintained and reorganized the sub-brands of its flagship and popular LABRANDA Hotels & Resorts into 5 distinct sub-brands that include select, comfort, balance, family star and city. While also creating completely new brands, like Design Plus Hotels, Lemon & Soul hotels and Kairaba Hotels & Resorts.

The Design Plus brand was first showcased with its Design Plus Bex Hotel property in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain. The brand also debuted its beachside concept for this brand with Design Plus Seya Beach Hotel in Alaçati, Turkey.  In short, Design Plus is an exciting high-end brand with trendy food concepts, modern interior designs plus distinct furnishings that fully embraces the now. Lemon & Soul Hotels was another MP Hotels brand that had its debut late last year with  Cactus Garden in Las Palmas. This colorful brand, which honors its name sake fruit through colors and various onsite experiences, is MP Hotels response to attractive, fun but also price accessible hotels.  Kairaba Hotels & Resorts was also showcased in 2018 with Kairaba Mirbat Resort in Oman. The latter brand is MP Hotels most exclusive offering, and provides guests with a 5-star experience, plus ultra-all-inclusive services.

2019: MP Hotels is Preparing for Another Tipping Point Year

2019 is already shaping up to be another game changing year for MP Hotels though. Last February, MP Hotels announced the development of a 5th brand with Club Sei. The latter is a complete overhaul of the clubs concept. Club Sei was developed in collaboration with Dr. Cem Kinay, who was the brains behind Magic Life and strives to revitalize the clubs experience. The first Club Sei  hotels are expected to be opened by 2020 in Turkey and Spain.

“We want to provide guests with an updated clubs experience that is drastically different from what is out there,”  said Jouny. “We live in a time of constant innovation, in all aspects of our lives, and there is a segment of travelers that seek this when looking for a clubs concept.”

Finally, 2019 will also be the year where MP Hotels begins to roll out its ambitious Alaçati Project. This Turkish beachside destination has been a popular spot for well-heeled visitors for some time. As previously mentioned, MP Hotels already operates a Design Plus property in this exciting destination. However, the company is now also operating 2 more hotels under both its Design Plus and Kairaba brands.  With this, MP Hotels hopes to further push the destination as a hot-spot for leisure, turning Alacati into the global travel brand that it can be. By harnessing the destination management services of Meeting Point International, with the network of the FTI Group, MP Hotels is confident that this unique project will bring it much popularity.

“Our Alaçati Project is one of our most ambitious projects for 2019,” said Jouny. “We plan on bringing the world to a destination, and maintain a market leader position within this beautiful coastal retreat.”

More information on the Alaçati Project will be provided over the course of the year.
