A Message from Our Chairperson

MP INTERNATIONAL TAKES MEASURES AGAINST COVID-19

Since our founding in 2009, Meeting Point International has put our clients and employees first. No hospitality company in the world can survive if it does not place humanity at the forefront of its decisions. During these uncertain times, we at Meeting Point International are doing what we can to stop the spread of COVID-19, and this means complying with all the necessary rules to contain this global pandemic. Humanity requires that we all do our part in ensuring that this pandemic passes with the least damage as possible.

At Meeting Point International, we would like to thank all healthcare workers, and governments who are on the frontline fighting to placate this pandemic. Our hearts and thoughts also go to all those who have been affected by this global quagmire. However, we would like to emphasize that humanity as a collective will prevail. Our ingenuity has gotten us through worse, and COVID-19 will be but another of our won battles in the near future.

We are aware that travel is not a priority for most in this reality, but I want to assure you that your safety and that of our employees is our main concern. Below is an update on what Meeting Point International is doing, while keeping health and safety as a priority.

OUR PARTNERS
From the very beginning Meeting Point International has taken all the preventive measures necessary to ensure the safety of our clients and employees.

Our Meeting Point DMC offices are still open for business and are here to support, plan and work on future bookings for the coming summer, fall, winter and henceforth.

Due to the current International travel restrictions, airports and hotels temporary closures following country governments’ advice, we will have no new arrivals or ground operation services during this time. Ground handling operations will resume in some destinations starting April 19th and other destinations will follow suit as travel restrictions eases. We will be announcing the return to full regular operational functions of each destination as it becomes certain closer to the date.

We are monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO and recommendations of local health agencies in reference to COVID-19. Government recommendations are also being closely followed. We are doing all that is required to further enhance this safety measures where we can. The recent outbreak of COVID-19 coupled with all the associated travel restrictions across the world establish FORCE MAJEURE under our contracts with you. Regrettably, we will have to convert our secured (and guaranteed) contracts into allocation contracts immediately. This does not mean that we have given up your business, we simply feel that many of the guarantees and commitments will not be achievable under these circumstance. Once flying and the situation calms, we will continue to work with you with the same dynamism we had before these unfortunate events.

OUR POLICY
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic we have been adapting our policies regarding reservations. Our already flexible cancellation and change of date policy remains and we will work with our partners to ameliorate the situation if necessary.
