Meeting Point International aquires legendary Stella Canaris Resort in Fuerteventura and annouces the development of the first LABRANDA World on the Canary Islands

MUNICH, Germany – Announcing the acquisition of its most prominent addition to its hotel group in a joint venture with the owning group’s shareholder, Samih Sawiris, Meeting Point International is investing 60 million Euros in an impressive renovation project aiming to provide tourists exceptional holidays as of July 2017.

The resort will grant guests direct access to one of the most enchanting natural beaches of the Canary Islands. In its completion stage, the resort can welcome up to 5000 guests and will comprise of 2000 rooms, 4,562 palm trees on 600,000 sqm of land. Its enormous ground space will feature up to eight, 4* and 5* hotels, plenty of greenery, a golf course, extensive water worlds, swimming pools and endless leisure activities, sports, wellness centers, spa and beauty facilities, providing guests with an unmatchable experience and exceptional holidays. Guests will also enjoy ample dining options and get to choose from a wide array of international cuisines in all-dining restaurants or savor delicacies at elegant and cozy ones.

Meeting Point International, a subsidiary of FTI GROUP has acquired the long-established resort in Jandia, the south of Fuerteventura in a joint venture with Samih Sawiris. The renovations are expected to start at the end of 2016 and the Resort will be up and running to welcome its guests as early as summer 2017.

Meeting Point Hotel Management, the hospitality division of the Destination Management Company, Meeting Point international, will reopen the Stella Canaris Resort as LABRANDA Hotels & Resorts after it being closed since July 2013.The ongoing plan is about renovating and developing the resort into an ultimate destination for holiday makers and restoring it to become one of the most encompassing and the most exciting resorts in Europe.
